Our Role
The New Jersey Premium Cigar Association was formed to give the state’s premium cigar industry a unified, credible voice.
The NJPCA brings together premium cigar retailers, manufacturers, distributors, brand representatives, and industry partners who share a common interest in preserving and strengthening the premium cigar trade throughout New Jersey. Our purpose is to represent the unique interests of this industry, advocate for fair and informed public policy, and provide a forum for members to work collectively on the issues that affect their businesses, their customers, and the future of premium cigars in the state.
Premium cigars occupy a distinct place within the broader tobacco landscape. They are rooted in craftsmanship, hospitality, specialty retail, and a culture built around adult consumers and independent businesses. The NJPCA exists to ensure that this distinction is understood and considered when legislation, taxation, and regulation affecting premium cigars are discussed.
Through advocacy, education, industry coordination, and public outreach, the Association works to keep its members informed, engaged, and represented. We monitor legislative and regulatory developments, communicate with policymakers, support responsible premium cigar commerce, and help create a stronger network among the businesses that make up New Jersey’s cigar community.
Just as importantly, the NJPCA serves as a unified body where the industry can speak together rather than operate in isolation. By bringing businesses and industry partners under one coalition, we can share information, identify common challenges, support one another, and build a more sustainable future for premium cigars in New Jersey.
